How do I move files between prints?

How do I move files between prints?

Summary

If files ended up in the wrong print, the easiest place to fix grouping is during upload review. After review is complete, there isn't currently a way to move files directly between prints, so you'll need to delete the file and re-add it to the correct print.

Who this is for

  • Users who noticed files grouped into the wrong print, either during upload review or after.

Steps

This is the best moment to fix grouping, because prints are still being assembled.
  1. In review, create a new print for the file(s) that don't belong with the current group.
  2. If those files actually belong with a different existing print, merge the two prints together.
  3. Finish review to save the corrected grouping.

After review (workaround)

Once review is complete, files can't be moved directly between prints. To correct grouping:
  1. Open the print containing the misplaced file.
  2. Delete the file from that print.
  3. Add the file to the correct print.

What to expect

  • Changes made during review save when you finish the review flow.
  • With the delete-and-re-add workaround, the file is removed from one print and added fresh to another. Any per-file notes or metadata tied to the original entry won't carry over.

Common questions

Can I move files between prints after review?

Not yet. Today, moving files between finalized prints isn't supported, so the delete-and-re-add workaround is the path. If this would be useful for your workflow, let us know. It helps us prioritize.

Why is review the best time to fix this?

During review, prints aren't finalized, so creating a new print or merging is fast and lossless. After review, editing options are narrower by design.
